Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - Chairman of HABECO and Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Head of Houston IT Department chaired the opening ceremony to introduce Hanoi beer products officially imported through the US partner - MIB Morris International Beverage Company (USA).
In the first presence in the United States of the HABECO beer brand (with a hundred-year tradition, bearing the strong characteristics of Vietnamese brand products, famous at home and abroad), guests representing American business associations, entrepreneurs, supermarket owners, economic experts and representatives of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Support Funds, import-export partners and financial and logistics services in Texas attended and spoke.
After HABECO's lively presentation on the history of development and the party to enjoy Hanoi beer products, partners and guests highly appreciated the quality of Hanoi beer products and expressed their willingness to cooperate to bring more and more Vietnamese products to the world's largest market, the United States.
It is known that on December 22, 2023, a large supermarket in Texas will cooperate to put Hanoi Beer products on shelves to display and sell to serve the community during Christmas and welcome the New Year.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Brad Morris - President of MIB Morris International Beverage Company - said: Importing alcoholic beverages into the United States requires a special license; storage, wholesale, retail, and usage processes are also closely managed and monitored by US government agencies. In 2023, with the active support of the Trade Branch (CNTV) - Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston Texas (USA) on import and export procedures, MIB Company connected with HABECO, received assistance from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (European-American Market Department) and had the opportunity to visit Vietnam to attend the Vietnam Sourcing 2023 event (September 2023); visited HABECO's headquarters and factories to decide to sign a contract to import the first shipment to the United States (exported in November 2023). To date, MIB Company has successfully imported shipments by sea (from November 2023) and air (in December 2023) to the United States for distribution to dozens of partners in the market.
Mr. Brad Morris also hopes that the Trade Office (CNTV) - Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston Texas (USA) will continue to introduce more partners, especially introducing and connecting with Asian supermarkets and markets in the area to sell more and more Vietnamese beer products, contributing to promoting import and export turnover for the two countries Vietnam - USA.
At the event, Mr. Daniel Luu, representative of the SDBC (Small Business Development Center) Fund in Texas, also emphasized the readiness of local government agencies, financial institutions, and US consultants to support businesses in operating/establishing new businesses/guiding partners in import-export procedures and operations to increase bilateral turnover in the coming time.
Implementing the policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on strengthening trade and investment promotion, bringing Vietnamese goods into foreign distribution systems and the common desire of the leaders of Vietnam and the United States (to promote comprehensive cooperation, helping bilateral economic-trade-investment development, especially after the two countries upgraded the Vietnam-US relationship to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership), Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh - Chairman of HABECO and Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen - Head of Houston IT Department said that the two units have been, are and will continue to accompany Vietnamese-US enterprises; support importers, distributors, wholesale and retail enterprises for HABECO products, in order to raise the position, help Vietnamese goods fly further, bring more Vietnamese goods to the United States - the most demanding market in the world - right at the beginning of 2024.
