In recent days, Typhoon No. 3 named Yagi and its circulation have caused serious damage to lives and property, directly affecting the lives and production of people in the northern provinces. Although the storm has passed, the consequences of the storm and its circulation are still very severe, continuing to seriously threaten people's lives and property; many localities and people are in need of support and assistance to restore infrastructure, support reproduction, and ensure people's lives. The Party, State and people of the whole country are still thinking about the painful losses, joining hands to share the difficulties with people affected by the storm.

As soon as the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front called for support for people affected by storm No. 3, promoting the tradition of "mutual love", "helping each other", with the spirit of "the highest and fastest" support, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a fundraising campaign to share and provide spiritual and material support, contributing together with the Party and State to quickly restore production and people's lives. 

The General Department of Market Management handed over 1,295 billion VND to the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Union to promptly support people in flood-hit areas.

After a week of launching, the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade have raised a total of 2.6 billion VND (of which, the Market Management force raised 1.295 billion VND) to support the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This is the amount mobilized from 01 day's salary or more along with the amount of support from the collective of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry.

The Chairman of the Trade Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade represented the donation of 1 billion VND at the Launching Ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 3 organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on September 10.

In addition, from September 12-14, with the support of Mobile World Group (MWG) - Bach Hoa Xanh Trading Joint Stock Company, AEON Vietnam, Central Retail Group in Vietnam, Masan Consumer Goods Joint Stock Company, the working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang directly presented 15,000 gifts and 5 billion VND in cash to 6 provinces affected by storm No. 3. Specifically, support for Lao Cai province: 1 billion VND and 3,500 gifts; Yen Bai province: 1.5 billion VND and 1,500 gifts; Cao Bang province: 500 million VND and 2,000 gifts; Tuyen Quang province: 500 million VND and many necessities; Phu Tho province: 500 million VND and 1,000 gifts. Sharing the loss and damage of people in storm and flood areas, on behalf of the leaders, officials, civil servants and employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang hopes that the authorities and people in localities affected by the storm will overcome the pain and try to quickly overcome the consequences of the storm to stabilize their lives. At the same time, she said that, implementing the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has directed the Departments of Industry and Trade of the provinces to coordinate to ensure electricity, energy and distribute goods to areas affected by storm No. 3, to avoid shortages of goods, especially essential goods.

The storm has passed, but the journey to overcome the consequences is full of hardships. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to accompany localities under the management of the Industry to reorganize production and labor, and soon restore livelihoods for local people. 

In the letter of encouragement sent to cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and corporations, general companies, enterprises, agencies and units of the Industry and Trade sector, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien also called on the functional units of the Ministry together with all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and agencies, units and enterprises of the entire Industry and Trade sector to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and the highest responsibility to seriously and effectively organize the implementation of the tasks assigned in the telegrams and directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry and Trade, promptly overcome incidents, restore infrastructure, especially the electricity system and ensure the supply of gasoline, essential goods and services to serve production, business activities and people's lives. 

With the fine tradition of the Industry and Trade sector, together with the solidarity, unanimity and high determination of the entire political system and the entire people, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will make great efforts together with the whole country to overcome the damage, support the people of the localities that are suffering losses and damages caused by storms and floods to soon overcome difficulties, restore production and stabilize life.
